About Us

Gustav Steinhardt is a Lecturer at UC Berkeley, where he teaches courses on behavioral science, biological anthropology, and the human brain. His extensive teaching history includes designing and leading Diversities of the Human Brain, the first combined neuroscience and neurodiversity studies course in the UC system.

Elizabeth Cobb is a neurospicy mom of two neurospicy kids. Before kids, Elizabeth studied cultural anthropology and architecture at Princeton. She helped launch a Cambridge startup aquired by Oracle, then studied architecture at University College London and edited publications for Gensler, the world’s largest architecture firm. Parenting is, by far, her most demanding work experience.

Our mission is to cultivate understanding of neurodivergence by pairing concepts from neuroscience and cultural anthropology.

“Neurodivergent experiences are often labeled symptoms, not perceived as acts of communication.”

— Elizabeth, founder Built Curious
